Welcome to Finallyinfullcolor.com

Our opening statement: It is my pleasure to welcome you to my website. This site is dedicated to the research and promotion of the history of Blacks in Comics.

As a comic book historian/researcher, as a collector and as a fan, I have spent many years tracking this history. I have made a number of presentations on this topic over the last 10-15 years. Please Check out the up and comming presentations i will be attanding by clicking here.

My research includes an extensive collection of items related to Blacks in Comics including comic books, trading cards, posters, buttons, action figures and more. I have put a portion of my collection in a traveling educational exhibit entitled, “The Changing Image of Blacks in Comics.” If you would like to find out more about bringing this exhibit to your area, please contact me.

This website is one very important way to find new information and to share it with a wider audience. I encourage you to communication and check in often with research questions and to share photos, comments and information. This website will only reach its full potential when it becomes truly interactive. I realize that I can’t take on this responsibility all on my own. My role, as I see it is more as a “Guide on the side,” as opposed to a “Sage on the stage.”

Some people have questioned why it is still necessary to have research dedicated exclusively to Blacks in Comics. It’s a fair question that I can answer in a simple and straightforward manner. Blacks were deliberately left out of comics (and American society) for many years. On those rare occasions when we were included, we were misrepresented as savages, cannibals, simpletons, and worst. My research will document this important history both fair and foul, for all time, while there are still traces of it left.

So please join me in this fascinating and important project. Together we can not only preserve history, but make it.
